An Evening With Alice
Come join us as we spend an evening with early 20th century feminist playwright, Alice Gerstenburg. We will be performing 6 of her one acts with multiple directors involved.
Pygmalion
Katherine Gibson directs our third annual summer classic (non-Shakespeare division) show. You can watch the original story that My Fair Lady is based on as Henry Higgins sets out to prove he can educate anyone in the world, including an impoverished flower girl on the streets. During their lessons, Higgins learns as much as he teaches, being exposed to a different way of thinking than he was accustomed to.
Wuthering Heights
For 4th Wall’s final performance of the year, writer/director Alan Keith will be premiering his version of Wuthering Heights. This adaptation, based on the classic novel, takes a more intimate spin, and leans into the characters interpersonal relationships.
Grotesque of Notre Dame
Paris, 1482. Pierre Gringoire has prepared a play to be performed during the Feast of Fools, but he gets sidetracked by a demonic priest and an angelic street performer. He will have to navigate a city of thieves, a pair of evil sorcerers, a womanizing archer and his adoration for a goat. The ensuing events will change all of these character's lives forever.
Tartuffe
In our second annual non-Shakespeare summer classic, 4th Wall has decided to tackle Moliere’s “Tartuffe”. This comedy features an upper class family who’s patriarch has been deceived by a religious phony who is known only as Tartuffe. The family need to find a way to convince their father of the danger he’s putting them all in before it’s too late.
We will be partnering once again with Stage Door in Irvington, 5635 Bonna Ave to help tell this classic tale. Show times will be 7:30pm for Friday and Saturday performances and 2:00pm for Sundays. Acceptable for all ages.
Firebringer
We are fired up to be performing Firebringer, originally produced by Team StarKid for two weekends in April at the fantastic Stage Door Theatre in Irvington!
The show will go from Friday, April 12 through Sunday, April 21 and tickets are $20! Be sure to click on the link below to get yours early, as seating is limited and you will not want to miss this exciting musical comedy.
